How do I register for a tournament?

First visit our EVENTS PAGE and decide on how many divisions you would like to compete in. Then go to our Join/Register page. Click on the number of divisions you would like to enter. Next select your rank level and then select which divisions you would like to compete in.

What Division Level should I sign up for?

Most studios have very similar belt ranks when it comes to beginner intermediate and advanced levels. Beginner- White/Yellow/Orange. Intermediate- Green/Blue/Purple. Advance- Red/Brown/Grey. If you are still unsure, consult with your instructor or contact us and we can figure out where to place you.

Can any school compete?

Absolutely! We run an open tournament style of competition. As long as your studio has Katas and/or follows the Point Sparring Ruleset we use, you can compete. Check out our RULES Page for more information about the divisions we offer.

What is your cancellation policy?

You may cancel a registration and get a full refund as long as you CONTACT US and give a written notice/text/call, 24 hours prior to the tournament. Since all of our events will be on a Saturday, you must cancel by Thursday 11:59 PM before that Saturdays event.

How many points do I earn for placing in the top 3?

1st Place = 20 pts

2nd Place = 15 pts

3rd Place = 10 pts
Black Belt Grand Champion= 5 bonus pts

We keep track of every competitor who places in the top 3 in their division. The competitor who has the most points at the end of the year will earn a special award! If there is a tie, those 2 competitors will be invited to a special event to compete in a heads up “winner takes all” competition to see who will be crowned that years champion!

What weapons can I compete with?

All martial arts weapons are allowed. For the safety of all we ask that you do not use sharp weapons. Judges may inspect your weapons and if they deemed it unsafe to use in competition, they will ask you to find a safer version.  I.E. if you have a sharp katana, you may need to borrow a unsharpened one from someone.
